Phondaghat Honey Benefits

Phondaghat Honey is the natural most form of honey. The colour and taste you have grown to be familiar with, it is produced in the most hygienic and standard conditions so that you can taste pure and natural goodness till the last drop. And yes, we’re NMR Tested!

Phondaghat Honey is

  • NMR Tested
  • FSSAI Compliant
  • AGMARK Certified
  • 35+ Quality Parameters
  • Genuine Product of India

Our variety of honey is also known as Forest honey. It comes directly from the natural honeycombs hanging on trees. Traditional beekeepers collect honey from these combs and we bring you the goodness. The crop on which honey bees forage on determines the kind of honey. Strategically placed specific floral farms can result in a particular kind of honey that gives the taste of flowers the bees feed on. For Multiflora honey, these flowers are undefined and so you may actually be tasting a bit of berry, lilies, daisies or even orchids.

Phondaghat Life Recommends:

Start your day with a spoonful of Phondaghat honey in a glass of lukewarm water, squeeze a wedge of lime, and go for the day!

Phondaghat Honey | Crystallisation

Honey has a tendency to crystallise. It is a natural behaviour of Honey. It is true with each and every kind of honey available.

Why does honey crystallise?

Honey crystallisation is a natural phenomenon. Honey thickens and settles down at the bottom of the container. It is not a sign of contamination but actually a mark of honey is pure. It is a natural and spontaneous phenomenon. Pure, raw and unheated honey has a natural tendency to crystallize over time. Crystallisation of honey can happen due to various external factors – the temperature at the source location while collecting honey, and even the temperature at the storage facility.

Moreover, the composition of honey itself as honey comprises of high level of Glucose and what you see at the bottom of the bottle are actually glucose granules. Additionally, when honey crystallises, you may find fine granules of honey settling down at the bottom of the vessel just like Desi Ghee. Also, the crystallisation process is uneven therefore not all bottles of the same batch will crystallise in the same manner. It is mentioned on every bottle.

Does it affect the quality of honey?

Honey crystallisation is a natural process and does no harm to the quality of honey. It is safe to consume and has no effect on the nutritional property of honey other than color and texture.
You can even scoop out the crystallised honey and use it as a jam spread. If there need be, you can just dip the bottle in warm water to normalize texture. In some cases, you might have to repeat the process a couple of times. In conclusion, Crystallised honey is good honey.

Honey is good but 1.5 kg bottle does not have AGMark. Why??? Is it not approved by Government but you still want to sell??

    • Gaurav Masurekar (Team Phondaghat)

      Hi Abhijit!

As per some Government laid regulations, we could only have AGMARK identification on SKUs up to 1 kg. only. However, we have good news for you, in a recent development, we will be allowed to use the AGMARK identification on the 1.5 Kg variant also. Keep watching our space for future updates on the same.

      Thank you!

I have been a regular buyer of Phondaghat Pharmacy Honey. Last week, I got a look alike bottle, but without an Agmark logo. Also, the website address said phondaghatlife.co.in.

I still purchased it for verifying the details. The address on the bottle was tweaked a bit, but said Mogul Lane, Mahim. I returned the bottle to the pharmacy and requested him to verify the details.

He kept convincing me, that the packaging has changed. But I refused to agree and showed him the bottle with the Agmark logo, which I had at home.

Please help me understand, if I was correct in doing so?

    • Gaurav Masurekar

      Hi Shubhangi!

Thank you for connecting with us. Clarifying your doubts one by one.

      2) As for the website, our new web address is http://www.phondaghatlife.com.

      3) The addresses on the bottles have been rectified too.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. All these changes were carried out in the lockdown period and were not communicated to the consumers. Rest assured, this has been taken up on priority, and soon we shall get the best practices in place.

Thank you so much for notifying us about this issue.

  • Nachiket

Is your honey raw or pasturised? Wanted to know the same before buying. Look forward to hearing from you.

    • Gaurav Masurekar

      Hi Nachiket!

Pasteurization of honey has a lot of myth around it. For starters – the process and intention for which honey is pasteurized is often misunderstood. And the same goes with Raw honey.

      By their definition

Pasteurization is a process of heating a substance to remove the baddies from it. Honey as it contains a few constituents that may give you a bad tummy, allergies, etc.. Rest assured, the honey remains healthy and none of its healthy nature is affected.

However, for those who want to try raw honey, we do keep that in-store! You can visit our store in Mahim, Mumbai, and taste various kinds of honey.

      We bee waiting!
